Namibia is divided into four distinctive
main regions. The Northern Region has the highest rainfall
of all the regions, so has greater vegetation and thus more
wildlife is found in this region. Popular wildlife reserves
are found in the Caprivi and Etosha areas. The Western region
hosts the Skeleton Coast & Namib Naukluft Parks plus the
elusive Damaraland desert elephants. Windhoek is in the centre
of the Central Region, which is characterized by mountains
and private wildlife reserves and guestfarms. In the Southern
Region, one will experience wide-open spaces with the Kalahari
and Namib deserts joining here, plus the well-known Fish River
Canyon.
The accommodation throughout Namibia ranges from luxury 5
star hotels and wildlife lodges, to the more quaint guesthouses
and isolated country lodges. Namibians are proud of their warm
and traditional hospitality. Namibia has a wide variety of
accommodation to suit all budgets. Nearly every town has a
campsite, but you need to book well in advance during the peak & school
holiday seasons, especially at the main tourist attractions.
Distances are vast between different attractions, so advance
booking is highly recommended. We charge the standard public
rates for all the establishments listed on our website, we
do not mark up the prices!
The approved accommodation establishments listed below are
